Yearbook Covers
Yearbook Cover Designs & Vendor Application Setup
These are yearbook cover designs that I worked with advisors, students, and sales representatives to help design and make a reality. Sometimes this process involves working live with the clients and creating designs on the spot with limited time. Each book has different challenges for the client and applications to set up for production and vendors. I was involved from the beginning design/theme ideas all the way through to setting up production files for press and screens, along with vendor files including foil dies, emboss dies, laser cut files, etching, vellum tip-ins, etc.

The gold ring on the watch face is foil, the gears in the center and the theme "Our Time" are a gold metallic ink, the face of the watch has a gloss UV coating to make it shiny and the watch and watch band have a sculpted emboss applied to give it a raised texture.
The right side of the book is clear plexiglas showing though to the endsheet. The school seal is etched into the plexiglas. "this is" and "Blue & Gold 2020" are lowered deboss. The Yellow "HOW WE SEE IT" is in a special order spot color to match the endsheet.

This "paint-by-number" illustration is of their school grounds. The cover has a matte finish so that it could be colored on and all of the black lines have a raised gloss UV to separate the sections. "TEN" is a foil in their school color to emphasize for their tenth anniversary.

This cover is printed with a special "fusion" printing process. This is done by printing a base white layer on a material, then printing the color over the top. This process allows the customer to print 4/C process on dark materials and gives it a raised tactile effect.

This cover has a gold silkscreen ink printed on a silver glitter black linen base material. The theme "ILLUMINATE" and the diamond shape are foil stamped with a specialty kaleidoscope foil.

This is a full custom illustration based around the school mascot, an eagle. This cover has a soft lamination coating to balance out the vibrant colors and the sharp lines of the graphic.
